4 out of 5 stars Great Value   August 14, 2010

Alli helps reduce fat intake by not allowing a percentage of it to be absorbed, but travel through the digestive system undigested. If you eat an abnormal amount of fat there will be digestive repercussions, an oily residue excreted at inappropriate moments.

1 out of 5 stars Men Do Not Need This At All; NO DICE   August 11, 2010

This pill does absolutely nothing for men. I actually lost weight faster off the pill. The pill literally messes up the original fat burning method that your body undergoes. I did cardio and lifted weights. Weight stuck to me as I took the pills with my meals and BM's came slower and were messy at times.

Men do not expect a miracle with weight loss. I dieted severely the first time, skipping meals and such. I lost tons of weight but lost alot of muscle in the process. I gained my weight back and adding muscle mass now. The weight is burning off as you exercise. Not just sitting around eating less and taking pills.

It takes about 2 weeks to conquer food and it's cravings. After you get over that hump, then you have to rev up your metabolism by running and eating portions that your body can burn off quickly.

If you can't do any cardio or weight lifting then weight loss isn't for you at all. You don't want it bad enough.

This pill sucks. Stop listening to these fake reviews.

5 out of 5 stars GREAT WEIGHT LOSS HELP ! ! ! !   August 8, 2010

This product is an excellent way to help you loose weight. The key to it is you have to exercise to get the full benefit of this product. If it is used alone it will block some of the fat that is in the food you are eating, but you dont get the full benefit of the product. So eat smart and exercise as much as you can (every little bit will help) and take this product and you will see the difference.

3 out of 5 stars Alli works GREAT, but I'm not so sure of Amazon's supplier...   July 29, 2010

I first bought Alli a year ago from Amazon and it worked great!! You do get all of the embarrassing side effects with it, but if you're like me and have a really hard time losing weight, even while watching what you eat and doing some exercises, then it's worth it. Now, I can't say that I was religious about watching what I ate or exercising, but just being moderate with what I did, I lost almost 25 lbs. in about 6 months. I did hit plateaus along the way and they became more and more frequent towards the end of the six months. By the time I got to the end of the 6 months, the Alli quit working all together. Fortunately for me, I don't really gain any weight (or lose for that matter) unless there's something causing it.

Now, onto my reason for giving this 3 stars...it's mostly because of Amazon. I began to suspect that Amazon might be buying from a supplier that wasn't supplying genuine Alli, because it just quit working. I even decided to take a couple months off of it and make sure it wasn't my body reacting to it poorly or something like that, and tried the Alli again. It still didn't work. I then decided to go to Alli's official website and look up their list of authorized retailers and Amazon is not on that list. So, to keep my experiment going, I decided to buy the Alli from Walmart, even though Amazon is cheaper, and see if it worked for me. I've been back on the Alli for 2 days now and it's starting to work again. This for me, confirms that Amazon is selling bad batches of Alli.

So, I give Alli 5 stars, but I would honestly recommend buying for an a retailer listed on Alli's website. I guess if the Alli from Amazon works for you, then great! But if it quits working, try it from somewhere else first before assuming it doesn't work.
